About Us
We are a busy garden centre with an on-site restaurant, providing excellent service to our customers in a vibrant and welcoming environment. We are now looking for a reliable and proactive Administrator / Personal Assistant to support our HR Manager and wider team.
The Role
This is a varied role where no two days will be the same. You will provide administrative and personal assistant support to the HR Manager, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You’ll also liaise with staff, customers, and external contacts, so confidence and professionalism are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a personal assistant to the HR Manager, providing day-to-day administrative support.
- Handling phone calls confidently and professionally, both inbound and outbound.
- Posting, filing, scanning, and maintaining organised records and documentation.
- Preparing and processing HR and business documentation as required.
- Contacting clients, customers, and staff when needed.
- Supporting HR-related tasks with discretion and confidentiality.
- Assisting with general office duties to ensure smooth operations across the garden centre and restaurant environment.
About You
- Previous experience in administration or as a personal assistant (HR support desirable but not essential).
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- A true “all-rounder” who enjoys variety and takes initiative.
- Discreet, trustworthy, and reliable, with a positive and approachable attitude.
