Futures Recruitment Services are working a local business in the Chichester City Centre with an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a highly organised and motivated Bookkeeper to join our client’s friendly team.

Our client's team are based in Central Chichester, the role will be Monday –Friday, 8.30 am-5 pm with a one-hour break for lunch and split between office and remote working.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be accurate and efficient and ideally have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and experience using Xero.

In this role, you will be performing hands on bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients as well as preparing and submitting VAT returns and preparing management accounts.

Key Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper position:

  • Bookkeeping for a variety of clients using Xero

  • Completing Vat returns

  • Submitting CIS returns

  • Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments

  • Bank reconciliations and posting bank transactions

  • Ensuring work is completed in a timely manner

  • Liaising with clients in a professional manner

Requirements for the Bookkeeper role:

  • Experience in using Xero

  • Attention to detail

  • A good level of computer knowledge, with the ability to use a

  • range of Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook Excel)

  • Being able to multitask efficiently and work to tight deadlines

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to manage own tasks

  • Friendly & a team player
