Principle Landscape Consultant – Place Services, Up to £50,289 per annum
Place Services is a multi-disciplinary environmental practice within Essex County Council with expertise in landscape and countryside management, urban design, planning, ecology, arboriculture, archaeology, and built heritage. We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Landscape Consultant to lead the delivery and development of landscape services and manage multiple large-scale and complex projects.
Requirements:
- Educated to RQF level 6 (Bachelor's degree) with substantial post-qualification experience
- Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute with evidence of continuing professional development
- Authoritative technical and subject matter expertise in development management, planning policies, and landscape strategies/schemes
- Effective team management, communication, and client relationship skills
- Understanding of commercial practices with evidence of bid-winning and business development
Responsibilities:
- Manage a demanding caseload of the most complex development management consultations
- Carry out landscape visual assessments and LVIAs and prepare design reviews, guides, and codes
- Develop complex plans, policies, and guidance to recognised standards
- Responsible for commercial development of our client's landscape services and bids on high-value projects
- Lead the development and delivery of promotional and learning material, training events, and activities
- Identify and implement improvements to service delivery
