About the Role
We are looking for reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Quality Inspection Operatives to join our team at a luxury candle manufacturing facility in Chichester.
This role is responsible for inspecting bespoke, high-end candles and their packaging to ensure they meet our premium quality standards before dispatch. The candle vessels are packed in protective grids within outer cartons rather than individual retail boxes, allowing for an efficient inspection process.
Key Responsibilities

Remove candle vessels from grid-packed outer cartons.

Conduct a visual inspection of each stainless steel vessel, checking for:

Scratches
-
Marks
-
Dents
-
Surface imperfections
-
Overall cosmetic finish
-
Inspect associated cases and packaging for any visible damage or defects.

Sort products into Pass and Reject categories in accordance with quality standards.

Carefully repack approved products into their original grid packaging.
-
Report recurring defects or quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
-
Follow all Health & Safety and quality procedures.
Performance Expectations

Target inspection rate: approximately 180 vessels per hour per operative.

Maintain a high level of inspection accuracy while achieving productivity targets.

Handle products with care to prevent damage during inspection and repacking.
