Futures Recruitment Services are supporting their local client for a QEHS Coordinator position.

Full time position paying up to £40,000 per annum with 10% annual bonus

This is a key role within the business and you main duties will include:

  • Manage, coordinate and maintain the company’s quality management and EHS systems and certifications. Including liaising with the external certification body on and during surveillance and renewal audits.
  • Plan, lead and conduct internal audits in line with the requirements of the company’s integrated quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management framework to achieve consistency of approach across the organization
  • Identify, manage and ensure continuous improvements in the Quality management and EHS systems in compliance with business objectives, business excellence standards and requirements of the external certification body.
  • To champion and liaise with respective personnel on the investigation of root cause(s) of non-conformance and procedural failures.
  • To ensure that corrective actions are in place and implemented for all non-conformances detected during audits and daily work processes.
  • To review and approve required specifications and revisions in documentation (Std work/work instructions) prior to releasing for production or to customers.
  • Manage and conduct Suppliers surveys and audits on suppliers/vendors/contractors
  • To prepare monthly non-conformance analysis and KPI report (COPQ and SQDC)
  • To ensure our Service Centers adhere to the company’s quality expectations and all documentation is approved prior to release.
  • Manage and co-ordinate external contractors responsible for plant and facilities maintenance.
  • Support all Value Streams to ensure that business targets are met

Requirement for the role:

  • Ideally qualified to degree level in an electrical/electronics discipline
  • Ideally NEBOSH qualification to diploma/certificate level
  • Proven track record in a manufacturing environment in instrumentation or electro / mechanical assembly/test environment
  • Previous experience of successfully leading multi-disciplinary, high performance teams
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Qualified lead auditor
  • FMEA Experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience including root cause determination and improvement tools
  • Facilities and plant maintenance management experience
  • Experience in change control processes
