Store Manager – Newbury

A multi-award-winning lifestyle family business with 20 stores across the South East, specialising in beautiful, inspiring gifts, cards and books for friends, family and the home.
We are looking for an outstanding Store Manager to join the team in Newbury. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for quality products and a natural warmth that inspires both customers and colleagues.
About You
The most important aspect of this role is the ability to confidently create and lead a happy, engaged and motivated team.
As a Store Manager, you will ideally have:
• At least two years of store management experience
• An excellent work ethic and positive attitude
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• The ability to create a welcoming environment for customers
• Experience ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a store
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain outstanding customer service standards
• Take responsibility for achieving financial targets and KPIs without pressure selling
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Complete rotas and administrative tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain excellent product presentation and product knowledge
• Ensure the store and staff areas remain clean and tidy at all times
• Attend and participate in management training sessions
• Carry out Health & Safety checks and ensure compliance
• Follow all security procedures as a keyholder
• Lead by example with professionalism and kindness

Hours of Employment
• Business hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Hours are subject to change in line with business needs
As part of a management role, additional hours beyond regular contracted hours may occasionally be required to support the business.
Please note:
• No holidays are permitted during November and December due to peak trading periods
• A maximum of one week’s holiday is permitted in September
