The Role
We are recruiting for a highly organised and process-driven Technical Sales Coordinator to join a busy, fast-paced office environment.
This is a key role within the business, acting as the central point for incoming sales enquiries and ensuring every enquiry, quotation and order is managed efficiently from start to finish. We are looking for someone who thrives on organisation, enjoys working with data, and takes pride in following established processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
The successful candidate will become the hub of the sales support function, coordinating communication between customers, suppliers, distribution partners and internal technical teams while ensuring every enquiry progresses quickly and accurately.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a high-volume environment where attention to detail, organisation and the ability to prioritise are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process all enquiries received through the central sales inbox.
- Prioritise and distribute enquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Liaise confidently with customers, suppliers, distribution partners and internal technical teams.
- Produce accurate customer quotations using an established pricing matrix.
- Process customer orders accurately using Sage.
- Manage large volumes of product and part number information in excel.
- Maintain an organised electronic filing system for enquiries, quotations and orders.
- Follow established sales and administration processes to ensure every enquiry and order progresses efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
- Monitor outstanding quotations and follow up where required.
- Support the wider sales team with administration and order processing.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while adhering to company procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to confidently create and use formulas, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF statements, SUMIFS and Pivot Tables.
- Strong understanding of Excel functions for analysing, managing and validating data.
- Previous experience using Sage or a similar ERP/order processing system.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
- Experience processing quotations and customer orders.
- Confidence working with technical products, product codes and part numbers.
- A methodical, process-driven approach with the ability to follow established procedures consistently.
Desirable
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction products or a technical sales environment.
- Experience using pricing matrices.
- Knowledge of order processing and sales administration procedures.
