Futures Recruitment Services are working alongside a longstanding client seeking a Trainee Depositary Accountant. The main purpose of the position is to contribute to the delivery of the routine day-to-day functions of a depositary to a portfolio of clients under the direction of the Depositary Manager.

Key Responsibilities for a Trainee Depositary Accountant:
- Deliver the daily cashflow monitoring obligations for a portfolio of depositary clients. This includes working with a team and/or with the client to source relevant documentation, to support any cash flow activity observed in an efficient and effective manner.
- With the support of your team, collate documentation from internal and external sources that supports our clients’ fund investment activity both as it occurs and for periodic reconfirmations.
- Providing support in verifying the ownership of the assets of a fund.
- Support process design, development and improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate fund asset safekeeping records on relevant software, including SharePoint.
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of routine depositary information requests and queries through correspondence with the client and/or other products and jurisdictions.
Key Skills & Knowledge for a Trainee Depositary Accountant:
- The candidate will be expected to study towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably ACCA or ACA).
- Experience of working effectively in a small team is desirable.
- Sound technical financial services knowledge.
- Computer literacy skills are essential.
- An eye for detail and a good degree of initiative with an ability to provide commercial, risk-sensitive solutions for clients.
- A willingness to read and interpret domestic and EU regulations and legislation is desirable.
